Pool Update - Pool Opening and COVID Information

POOL UPDATE:

Hello WWN Neighbors!

As you may already know, Gov. Cooper released the use of swimming pools at 50% capacity as part of his Phase 2 plan.

What the news did not mention, in their need for brevity, is that Executive Order 141 requires many other things in order for pools to open.

The pool company intends to open our pool by mid-June. We will keep everyone posted on the exact opening date as we move forward through the new restrictions. Just to give you an idea of what must be accomplished before then:

- Pool measured and calculations made for 50% capacity
- All furniture arranged for social distancing
- Disinfecting supplies sourced and purchased
- Pool company to develop cleaning protocols
- Signage created to include COVID rules, enter/exit rules, furniture rules, bathroom usage rules, capacity rules, pool restrictions, and resident cleaning protocols, etc.

We have also reached out to our attorneys for updates on the best way to move forward. Please note that one attorney has advised us that it would be a good idea to lock the bathrooms and put away the pool furniture. Pool users would have to bring their own chairs/towels and anyone wanting to use the facilities would have to go home to do so. The decisions on this process HAVE NOT been finalized yet, and we realize that there are many concerns that come along with closed bathroom facilities and pool use.

Please know that we are working as hard as possible to get this great amenity open and ready while still conforming to the COVID-19 guidelines in place. Your HOA Board Members, the pool management company, and Main Street Management will work together in the coming weeks to make sure that this process goes as quickly and as smoothly as possible.

I know everyone is ready to get to the pool!
